Firenze Birthday for PTW

I've used Dawny's sketch 12 from Papertake Weekly.
Supplies are:
Firenze stamp (Penny Black)...from same collection as the Eiffel Tower I used for the Engagement card and Printemps in Paris yesterday...
Sentiment from Anna Griffin (my new favorite at the moment)
"Rustic Text" from The Paper Studio
houndstooth cardstock sticker from My Mind's Eye.
Unfortunately both camera flash and natural light washed out the coloring on the image.
Here's a closeup that's slightly better:

...and another...

Thanks for visiting and be sure to enter for my new blog candy by April 27th!
Have a lovely day all,

Engagement Card

This card is made for a close friend who has just told me of her engagement. I am so very happy for her; we were in choir and so many classes together in college...our senior recitals were even on the same day!
I've used Laura's Sketch 23 and also the lovely challenge set by Lori at Use It Monday.
I'm fairly new to die cuts, so instead I've substituted something I REALLY haven't used in ages... Stickers! My old technique is the torn mulberry paper and the clearance items are... the cardstock stickers (MME), flowers, Victorian couple stamp... I think it's only the gems that were regular price but even those might have been from a sale.
Here's another view:

Smiles and best wishes to all,

Printemps en Paris...

...and a little detail...
I came home to a very pleasant surprise this morning... I made the Fab 5 at 2S4Y! Thanks to Kazan and Laura and the DT for all their wonderful continuing inspiration.
I've surprised even myself today by how much I've enjoyed using these soft colors and textures, which are certainly not my usual style. But, the Eiffel tower image (Penny Black) has been lying around waiting for me to pull out my watercolors to finish it for long enough...just like the "Ephemera Lauren" cardstock stickers from My Mind's Eye, the purple brads and the feather that I found a long while back on the ground and at some point tossed into the drawer with other crafty odds' n' ends. The hydrangeas are from a 50% off stem at Hobby Lobby... LOVE these...

The challenges are as follows:
Sketch Saturday #45 by Tracie
Secret Crafter Challenge #26 Stripes
and Creative Card Crew Challenge#4 Texture

Here's the inside:
